Welcome to The Blissful Blog! My name is Stephanie and this is my blog on all the things I’ve learned over the past 30 years on how to live a happier, more fulfilled life.

I am a Registered Nurse, Reiki Practitioner, wife, dog/bunny/chicken mom who loves journaling and genuinely helping other people feel better. I have a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Nursing which I love as well, however, journaling has always been an outlet for me to express my thoughts since I was a child. Most of my journal entries were the typical “my crush touched my jelly roll pen today” (an actual quote from my 4th grade journal lol) However, as I started getting older and experiencing life more, I started journaling about all the little life lessons I was learning over the years. Then one day I finished writing a journal entry and thought to myself “wow, if only I could have read all of these journal entries when I was younger, I would have saved myself so much energy, frustration, pain and had been way more successful in life.” This one thought is where my idea of starting a blog originated from. Many of my blogs will be past journal entries from over the years and my hope is to help people live a more blissful life despite all the craziness going on in the world and in people’s individual lives. Everything I write is my own opinion and may not resonate with everyone, but I hope to help as many people as I can!

Some of the Blog topics will include…

THE GIRL BEHIND THE BLOG

I wanted to share my story with you all so you know the girl behind this blog a little better…

I am 30 years old, married my high school crush, have an Australian Shepherd named Brody, a bunny named Cleo, 3 hens and a rooster. I work as a Registered Nurse, Reiki Practitioner, Landlord and now adding Blogger to the list-who says you have to do one thing! 😉 I would consider myself a pretty spiritual person. I am a big believer in the law of attraction and energy, which I will explain further in a blog. I grew up on the Connecticut shoreline and the beach is hands down my favorite place to be. I love the warm weather and doing anything outside pretty much. My family is very important to me and I’ve been blessed to have amazing friends by my side throughout the years.  I am also a big foodie! I try to eat healthy most of the time, but I have a huge sweet tooth which gets the best of me most days.

I am a 30 years old, happily married, have an Australian Shepperd named Brody, a bunny named Cleo and 5 chicks (our only children for now). I am a Registered Nurse, Reiki Practitioner and a landlord. I would consider myself a pretty spiritual person. I am a big believer in the law of attraction and energy which I will discuss further in a blog post. I grew up on the Connecticut shoreline and the beach is my absolute favorite place to be. My friends and family are very important to me. I love doing anything outside whether it is walking my dog, hiking, biking, kayaking etc. I am also a big foodie! I try to eat healthy most of the time, but I have a huge sweet tooth which gets the best of me most days. I am very grateful for the life I live now, however, my life hasn’t always been so peachy. I’ve gone through many obstacles in my life which have shaped me into the person I am today which I’m sure many of you could relate too. My life is not perfect now, but I have learned how to stay positive (most of the time) through all the hard times over the years which I discuss in many of my blogs.

To summarize some of the tougher times I’ve been through-I’ve had to deal with my parents divorce at 9 years old which I know many people also have to experience unfortunately. I dealt with a new step mom, step brothers and several step dads/new boyfriends moving in and out of my homes, custody battles, child protective services, parents with mental illness/drug and alcohol problems etc.
