Do You See The World With Love?

“Everyone I meet represents Love or a call for love.” ~ Heather Waxman

How do you see the world?  How do you see the human beings you come in contact with?

Is it with love or with confusion, anger, and frustration?

Imagine you’re walking to class and someone angrily shoves past you and knocks you into someone else leading you to spill your coffee all over your shirt.  What do you do? What do you say? What do you think?

For most of us, myself included on days when I don’t meditate(!), we’re prone to see this person with more anger and frustration.  We might think, “What an ASSHOLE!” or we might then try to furiously text our friend about what happened and we end up embarrassing ourselves by walking into a pole.  I mean come on, I can’t be the only one who has done something like this… right? *cricket*

Look how we’ve let one angry encounter dictate how our walk to class is going to be.

While it’s obviously easier said than done, it is SO important for us to look and see this angry person as our CALL TO LOVE THEM.  When people are angry, mean to others, or hurtful towards us, it has nothing to do with us.  It all has to do with them; Their home life, romantic life, self-esteem… the list goes on and on.  As a person on a spiritual path, or simply as part of humankind, our only mission is to see this person with love.  Can we offer them compassion?  Can we say a quick prayer of forgiveness and wishing them happiness and peace?  What can you do to use this person as our call to love more than we think is humanely possible?

The answer is up to you.  For me, I like to meditate and forgive.  I like to use compassion and try to realize that they are only human and have their own hurts and pains which is why they are acting in this way.  For me, that allows ME to free myself up from the anger, fear, and frustrated energy that the angry person has infiltrated me with.  When i’m free from those emotions, i’m able to see every being as Love itself or as a call to Love More.

So, let this be your daily practice!  I’m making it mine.  How can we see the world with more love?  How can we react in a way that breaks the chain of anger and fear and instead fills the world with more happiness, peace, and compassion?

Today, I choose to see something beautiful.

Today, I choose to see the world with love and compassion.

Today, I am free. ❤

Lots of love,
